SML’s Creative Directors, Fla and Boo, created the story of Redmon and Elfmon for Central Embassy’s “Funny Little Messy” to convey a heartfelt message for this Christmas season that the true joy of celebrating the holidays of closing the year with family and friends lies not in perfection, but in the small moments of understanding and sharing.In the story, Redmon hangs up his stocking in hopes of receiving a Christmas gift. However, Elfmon’s mischievous prank causes the stocking to disappear, leaving Redmon startled. When he finally finds it, Redmon decides to give the stocking to Elfmon, and the two become friends.Their charming and humorous interactions bring the story to life. One waits with anticipation, while the other playfully causes trouble and through this lighthearted exchange, the two discover an unexpected friendship.
It’s a gentle reminder that happiness doesn’t always come from what we plan but can bloom in the smallest and most unexpected moments.Through bright colors, dynamic graphic works, and the Monsters’ expressive personalities, the installation delivers a sense of comfort and joy as the year comes to a close.
